Stress management 102
Stress - where does it come from?
Stress comes from all over the place as illustrated in this image.
External stressors usually get the blame, but when push comes to shove only on the rarest of occasions do people give much thought to the effect that their metabolic health is having on them or how their own thinking may be letting them down.
With respect to metabolic health it's all about getting enough oxygen into the body, coupled with the right food and having in a good exhaust system.
In fact, the research shows that when it comes to depression, a good daily dose of aerobic exercise trumps a regular dose of Prozac. Eliminating wheat flour, sugar, milk and alcohol from your diet may also make a difference. You won't die. On the contrary, you may feel much better.
So what does the metabolic engine have to do with stress? If any part of the body is performing below its optimum level, it may affect another part. There's a high likelihood that poor metabolic function will affect your mind.
In the meantime stay tuned, highly tuned and if you want to relieve stress, start by increasing your aerobic exercise and eating from the top of the Hourglass.
Regards and best wishes
